This is a music video from the band God Lives Underwater. I really don’t like the song, but the video is a nice concept. Something I that interests me about film is the ability to change everyday life using techniques such time-lapse, high-speed. For this video, the simple act of a man eating (even a lot of food) in reverse adds to the message of the song. The use of a slow pan forward (or back) gives the audience the musicians creating the music, along with what this man can fit in his stomach in limited time. The single shot is an example of the dedication and planning on getting it right without many takes. I’m sure the actor couldn’t handle numerous takes without time to digest, or get rid of the food in other ways.. This is the kind of video that can make bands stand out regardless if the song is mediocre.
